Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Following is a statement from SEIA vice president of congressional affairs Erin Duncan on the letter delivered today to House Ways & Means Chairman Richard Neal (D-MA) from more than 100 House Democrats, calling for legislation on long-term tax incentives for clean energy:

"SEIA is pleased to see such strong support for clean energy priorities as laid out in this letter to Chairman Neal. In the solar industry with our nearly 250,000 employees, we know how strategic federal tax policy has led to the creation of hundreds of thousands of jobs and hundreds of billions of dollars in private investment to grow the economy. We also know how much more demand is out there for clean, renewable energy that will go unmet without the right policies. As Congress explores solutions to address a wide range of concerns about climate, resilience, infrastructure, and jobs, we know that clean energy tax incentives work."
